Responsibilities

  • Monitors kitchen operations and cleanliness
  • Contribute to menu planning and costing
  • Collaborate on the development of daily and seasonal specials
  • Assist in monthly inventory counts
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • Estimate needed supplies and fill orders accordingly
  • Quality check and confirm all deliveries
  • Oversee all food preparation
  • Manage portion control, food waste, and inventory
  • Ensure all ingredients and tools are prepared for use
  • Coordinate workflow and staff schedules
  • Uphold safety, sanitation, and maintenance procedures with kitchen equipment
  • Assist in training culinary team
  • Prepare and cook menu items

Experience

  • Several years of experience in professional kitchens
